Learn How to Work From Home as A Mystery Shopper
Three years ago, my husband and I were overjoyed when we discovered that I was pregnant with our first child. As the euphoria pass and the pregnancy progresses I begin to be riddled with the question of child care.
Being a career woman, needless to say I'm torn between wanting to keep my job and giving it up to be a full time mum. Like any other woman, I want to be able to enjoy the joys of motherhood, to be the one who sees him take his first step, hear his first word and to simply be there for him.
On the other hand, giving up my full time job would put a stress on the family finances. Besides that I didn't really like the idea of putting my little one in a day care center or leave him with a nanny either. Somehow I find the idea of entrusting the care of my babies to strangers unappealing.
Therefore it would be really great if I can find a work from home job which is more or less flexible in nature; a job that would not require me to be in an office nine to five and has
flexible working hours. This would allow me work and also bring up my baby. As I have a couple more months before I'm due, I began my search for the
"flexible job". And this is how I came across mystery shopping.
When I first came across the term "Mystery Shopping", needless to say, I'm totally clueless as to what it means. But being a woman and an avid shopper at that, the mere sight of the word "SHOPPING" piques my curiosity! Imagine, getting paid for shopping! This sure sounds like a dream job and an answer to my dilemma.
Feeling exhilarated, I begin my search on the internet on anything and everything I can lay my hands on mystery shopping. The more I read, the more excited I got. Getting employed as a mystery shopper would allow me to
SHOP, get PAID AND most of all RAISE my baby. Sounds wonderful, isn't it?
Once I had enough information, I began to set the wheels in motion. I started sending out resumes to prospective employers in my area and those within driving distance and have never looked back since! Admittedly, it took a while for me to familiarize myself with the terms of the job and getting hired help to look after my baby for the time I would be out on assignment. Now, three years down the road, I have this to say: Mystery shopping, as a job has given me the opportunity to
savor the joys of motherhood and at the same time STILL EARN A LIVING.
It is an exciting job as you meet people from every walk of life. A word of advise for those intending to be a mystery shopper: The most important thing as a mystery shopper must do is to
make sure assignments are delivered as promised. This is to maintain your credibility. Credibility is important in this line as it ensures continue flow of assignments.
To all mothers and mothers-to-be who want to be involved in their child growing years, and yet need a supplementary income, I urge you to be a mystery shopper, especially if you love to shop.
It's a bonus to be paid to shop!
